Trends, trends, it's all a matter of perspective and as far as kitchens, the colour trends make a difference. Yes, it's a matter of colour: one day it's in to have a green kitchen, the next to love pink. But we should never be too driven with any decorating decisions in our home. Go with what you love and feel is right for your space and style.
Interior design trends are extremely helpful in guiding you to choose the right shade for your space. So let's take a look at the colour trends that will dominate kitchens in 2024 and which of the recognised shades we'll be saying goodbye to once and for all.
1. Sage is the new favorite color
In the last five years we have seen countless deep green kitchens, and while they are very tempting when combined with marble worktops and gold hardware, it is an image that is now "outdated".
The obvious green that replaces it is sage green. Sage green kitchens are dreamy spaces, so pale and silent that they are almost neutral and so calming. You can't go wrong choosing this shade in a kitchen. It promotes a healthy, balanced mindset and connects you to the outdoors.
2.White is the new favorite color
3.The beige
4.The blue
The love affair with blue kitchens seemed like it would never end, but with a shift towards kitchen design that looks more like a living room - softer, gentler, more sustainable - these deep bold colours are quickly going out of fashion. And we're finding that they can be quite tricky spaces to style, as navy blue will always really dominate a room and doesn't really lend itself to pairing with any other colour.
A lighter blue, something muted, almost pastel, is the way to go with a blue kitchen if you want to design a space that always exudes freshness and elegance.
